During his nearly twenty years of experience in copyright law, Josef Fiřt has dealt with international transactions and registration of international, Czech and EU trademarks, intellectual property disputes, as well as licence agreements and assessments.
Based on his exclusive specialisation (canon law), he has the honour of representing the oldest legal entity in the Czech Republic, existing since the 10th century.

1. Expertise in copyright and intellectual property rights:

Implementation of IT systems and contract administration
Preparation of contracts – licence contracts, sub-licence contracts and contracts for work
Representation of authors and creators before the Industrial Property Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office
Protection and effective enforcement of intellectual property rights and rights to the results of technical creative activity
Representation in trademark disputes, expert advice and support in court and other proceedings (Czech copyright organisations such as OSA, DILIA, OAZA and GESTOR)

Doctor (Master) of both laws in the true sense of the word!

Comprehensive legal advisory services provided to the oldest legal entity in the territory of the Czech Republic and to other entities subject to ecclesiastical law, inter alia in connection with the restitution of ecclesiastical property and its future use, with the subject of performance totalling hundreds of millions of CZK.

Professional activity:

In addition to the aforementioned legal activities, Mgr. et Mgr. Josef Fiřt, LL.M. has long focused on the field of energy, regularly attending conferences to lecture on current energy topics.

He has led expert seminars on intellectual property and copyright for managers and has organised lectures at universities (Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism of the Faculty of Social Science of Charles University, First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University).

He also worked as editor-in-chief of the professional journal Lege Artis for several years.
